The Awakening

I was born Matthias Buchinger in 1674, without hands or feet, in the Marquisate of Bradenburgh, near to Nuremberg.

Matthew Buchinger Playbill

"This little man performs such Wonders as have never been done by any, but Himself. He plays on various Sorts of Music to Admiration. He is no less eminent for Writing, Drawing of Coats of Arms, and Pictures to the Life , with a Pen : He also plays at Cards and Dice, performs Tricks with Cups and Balls, and produces live Birds. He plays at Skittles or Nine-Pins to a great Nicety, with several other Performances to the general Satisfaction of all Spectators."

GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!
— Said no woman ever.

.
In that time I've had four wives and have fathered fourteen children... that I am aware of.

From the 17th century I came; moving silently down through the centuries, under names untold, living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of my resurgence; when few would remain that would remember or recognize me. No one has ever known that I was living among you... until now.

Now, I perform wonders without hands and walk the earth without feet. I have been alive for three and a half centuries, and I cannot die, for I am immortal.

I perform wonders without hands and walk the earth without feet.
